Moon Cartridges was born in December 2023 from a real need: finding cartridges that were both high-quality and affordable. As a tattoo artist, I was constantly searching for that balance—but the market didn’t offer it. That’s when I decided to create something better.
My name is Federico Franco, I’m a tattoo artist and the founder of Moon Cartridges. Before starting the brand, I had no plans to enter the tattoo supply business—I was focused solely on my clients and my craft. But my passion for tattooing, and my desire to support other artists, led me to take the leap.
The name Moon came from the long nights I spent awake, thinking about designs, clients, and how to keep growing as an artist. The moon was always there, shining through my window, becoming a symbol of quiet inspiration. That energy is now at the core of everything we do.
At Moon Cartridges, we’re committed to quality because we test everything ourselves—personally, in the shop—before releasing it to the public. We’re not just a brand; we’re artists who use what we make.
Today, I work as a tattoo artist at Chapel Tattoos in Miami Beach. My work helps me stay in tune with the details that truly matter to artists. And I can confidently say that I’ve been using only Moon Cartridges for over two years now.
